Secret and Whisper is a rock band from Canada, many of which's members were originally in a band named Stutterfly. The band has been officially named Secret and Whisper as of February 24, 2007. The lead singer of Stutterfly, Chris Stickney, decided to leave the band shortly after being dropped from Maverick Records to go live a "normal life". After this they went on a search to find a new singer to take his place.

Soon after Chris left the band they met up with Charles Furney, lead singer of thebleedingalarm, a band Stutterfly formerly toured with. With news that Charles recently decided to leave thebleedingalarm they decided to try and record a demo. Once the demo "Vanishings" was made they all agreed to have Charles as their new singer. They decided to think of a new band name because of the completely different sound that Charles' voice brought to the band.
