  RETURN MAIN PAGE:

In Saigon, 1999. There were two young guys - Nguyen Tien Hung and Pham Viet Thanh who were interested in forming a rock band. They had a small show in the University of Fine Arts with "NgauHung" band. They did not have the name for their band yet. Hung was a vocalist, Thanh played piano and Tri played guitar (from "Ket Cau Thep" band). By chance, Hung met Dang Thai Son at the Art Club. Sooner, Son became the guitarist. Nguyen Tien Man(Cop )- Hung's brother was only 13 years old. He was taking some classical guitar classes and joining the band as a bassist.

Unlimited was the name of the band with Thanh (vocalist), Cop (Bassist ), Son (Guitarist ), Hung (Drumer). They covered some rock song such as: She's Gone - Steel Heart, 18 & Life - Skid Row, Always - Bon Jovi...

Pham Minh Tuan ( Bi) - Thanh's older brother, came back from Norway and played piano for Unlimited. From 2001, Unlimited' shows took place around dorms in Saigon. Unlimited seemed familiar with college and university students. In the end of 2002, Bi came back to Norway and Hung went abroard to study in U.S. To memorize their friendship, Unlimited finished an unpublished album "Always 1999- 2002" within two weeks. After two member left, Unlimited was still practising and looking for new players.

Couple months later, drumer Duong Hoai Phong, bassist Lam Minh Phuong and keyboard Nguyen Pham Minh Quan were introduced to Unlimited by Guitar master Chau. Phong, Phuong, Quan were also members of "Chu bar" band. This has become the strongest formation for Unlimited. First, they began to play at RFC with several Death and Power Metal songs of Children Of Bodom, EDGUY, MANOWAR...Then, they composed some songs in Vietnamese such as: Loi Nguyen cai Bong-  The Curse of Shadow, Mo Gio - Sepulcher Wind, Luan Hoi - Metempsychosis ... which helped Unlimited to affirm their Power Death Metal style. With the supports from Songnam Films and Viettan studio, Unlimited worked on recording and shooting some of their songs. All the video clips were directed and edited by Nguyen Tien Hung (Unlimited old drummer). Hung was playing for "Sorrow Decadence" Band in LA, U.S at that time.

Although living far away from Vietnam, Hung is still contacting and doing Art works for Unlimited. By the approvement of Europe band, Unlimited covered the Final Countdown in Death Style. Summer 2005, Thanh, Cop and Phuong participated in playing a rock song composed by Nguyen Quang Dung in the movie "39 do yeu". The coming album will be published in summer 2006...
